Is Sunday fertilizer safe for well water homes

Yes. Sunday fertilizers work fine for homes on well water. Both liquid and granular options use slow-release nitrogen and no phosphorus, which reduces the risk of leaching into your water supply.

A few simple precautions help keep it that way:

Follow the recommended rates. Overapplying is the fastest way to create runoff. Stick to the rates on the label and our Lawn Fertilizer instructions.
Skip applying if rain is coming. If rain is expected within 24 hours, hold off. Rain shortly after application increases runoff before the fertilizer has had time to absorb. For more on timing, see Sunday product application and rain.
Keep a buffer zone. Maintain a 10 to 15 ft. gap between any fertilized area and your well or nearby waterways. This applies to both liquid and granular products.
