What are safety data sheets (SDS)?
Think of an SDS as the technical manual for a product's chemistry. While our labels provide the quick "how-to," these sheets are written to meet OSHA Hazard Communication Standards and are primarily intended for occupational handling, transport, and emergency response.
These documents are written primarily for workplace and industrial handling rather than typical use by the average homeowner (but we share them anyway because transparency’s important to us).
How can I use SDS?
You can utilize these sheets to find technical product information, including:
- Product identity & ingredients
- Exposure safety & first aid
- Environmental safety
Industrial vs. backyard use comparison
Section 8 of an SDS often lists conservative personal protective equipment (aka yard gear recommendations). These are OSHA standards for professionals with daily industrial exposure.
For the typical Sunday user who isn't exposed to frequent occupational handling, your needs are much lighter.
