Your Sunday soil test kit comes with your Custom Lawn Plan, and it's already in the box. No need to order anything separately.

The soil kit has everything you need to get a sample off to the lab. You'll find a soil coring tool, a sample bag, a return box, and a prepaid shipping label.

Timing matters, though. 

Collect your sample before you apply anything for the best data. That said, you don't have to wait for results to use your first round of nutrients. Your first shipment is already dialed in based on your lawn size and regional soil data, so go ahead and apply it after collecting your soil sample.

Once the lab gets your sample, results can take about 3-4 weeks to show on your account. The test measures macro and micronutrient levels, pH, organic matter, and cation exchange capacity (CEC), which is basically a report of how well your soil holds and delivers nutrients to grass.

You can't track your individual sample through the process, but you'll get an email when the analysis lands in your profile.
