Easy Program for a green beautiful lawn

Love how easy the Smart Lawn Program is! Our lawn looks green and full. I have to admit that I'm terrible at applying on the dates given but as long as there is a week or two between applications it has been perfectly fine. Another thing I love about the products is that they let you take the lead when it comes to treating lawn issues like weeds and pests. I like dandelions so I appreciate that it is not a "weed and feed" approach. Thanks SUNDAY have taken the guess work out of feeding our lawn.

I received this product from Influenster for an honest review. Truthfully, it is too late in the season here in Wisconsin to be able to try the product and see results. But I can say that the product is very easy to apply and a good price!

    Let's get started

      Appleton, Wisconsin FAQs

The best time to start lawn care in Appleton, WI is early spring, typically mid-April, once soil temperatures reach around 50°F and the ground has thawed. Begin with a light raking to remove debris, followed by your first fertilizer application. Time your first mowing when grass actively starts growing.

During the growing season in Appleton (May through October), mow your lawn once per week when grass is actively growing. In spring and fall, you may need to mow more frequently - about every 5-6 days. Adjust mowing height to 3-3.5 inches and never remove more than 1/3 of the grass blade length.

Common lawn challenges in Appleton include:

      • Heavy clay soils that drain poorly
      • Cold winters that can damage grass
      • Short growing season (May-October)
      • Summer heat stress and drought periods
      • Common weeds like dandelions and crabgrass
      • Snow mold damage in spring
      • Shaded areas from mature trees

Focus on building healthy soil, proper watering, and maintaining ideal mowing height to help address these challenges.

Here are key steps to improve your Appleton lawn's health:

      1. Test soil to identify nutrient needs
      2. Apply fertilizer based on soil test results in spring, summer and fall
      3. Water deeply but infrequently, about 1-1.5 inches per week
      4. Maintain 3-3.5 inch mowing height
      5. Overseed thin areas in late summer/early fall
      6. Control weeds through spot treatment rather than blanket applications
      7. Core aerate clay soil in spring or fall to improve drainage

These practices align with Sunday's approach of working with nature to build healthier, more resilient lawns while minimizing environmental impact.

The 1/3 rule means never cut off more than one-third of the grass blade length in a single mowing. This prevents stress on the grass and promotes deeper root growth. For example, if your grass is 4.5 inches tall, don't cut it shorter than 3 inches.

When choosing lawn care in Appleton, consider these key factors:

Professional services cost $45-65 per visit for a standard 5,000 sq ft lawn. Sunday's custom lawn plans start at $55 per season and include:

      • Custom fertilizer delivered throughout growing season
      • Soil testing and analysis
      • Expert support
      • Optional weed/pest control
      • Flexible DIY application schedule

      Focus on services that:

      • Test soil before treatment
      • Use targeted applications vs blanket treatments
      • Provide clear application schedules
      • Offer ongoing support
      • Work with your budget and lifestyle

Professional lawn care services in Appleton typically cost $45-65 per visit. While these services offer convenience, Sunday's custom lawn plans provide a more affordable alternative starting at $55 per season. You get personalized fertilizer, soil testing, expert support, and optional add-ons like weed control - all while learning to care for your lawn sustainably.

DIY lawn care in Appleton offers several benefits:

      1. Cost savings compared to professional services
      2. Flexibility to treat issues as they arise
      3. Better understanding of your lawn's specific needs
      4. Control over product selection and application timing
      5. Satisfaction of maintaining your own yard
      6. Ability to spot early signs of problems

Sunday's customized approach provides expert guidance while letting you handle applications on your schedule.
