Great lawn care Sunday gives, terrible environment we are getting!

Love the customized plan! Only trouble with it is climate change and how we are suddenly in drought amongst the Great Lakes, even, and all the grass was fried to death :( At least we tried, Sunday! Maybe you can roll out advice/products pertaining to drought? For those of us trying to make natural lawns without sprinklers, these events can wreck the whole game.

      Detroit, Michigan FAQs

Professional lawn care services in Detroit typically cost $45-65 per visit or $150-200 per month. Sunday's custom lawn plans start at $55 per season with multiple shipments of fertilizer and optional add-ons for weed/pest control. This DIY approach offers significant savings compared to traditional lawn services.

When choosing lawn care in Detroit, consider:

      1. Your lawn goals and time commitment
      2. Climate-specific needs for Michigan's weather extremes
      3. Budget and service frequency needed
      4. DIY vs professional application preferences
      5. Environmental impact of products used

Sunday's customized plans account for Detroit's specific climate and soil conditions while letting you maintain control of application timing.

The 1/3 rule states you should never cut more than one-third of the grass blade length in a single mowing. This prevents stress on the grass and promotes healthier growth. For example, if your grass is 3 inches tall, don't cut off more than 1 inch.

Professional lawn mowing services in Detroit typically charge $35-55 per cut for an average 1/4 acre lawn. Prices vary based on lot size, terrain, and mowing frequency. Weekly mowing during peak growing season (April-October) is recommended for optimal lawn health.

The most cost-effective lawn maintenance in Detroit includes:

      1. Mow regularly at 3-3.5 inches height
      2. Leave grass clippings as natural fertilizer
      3. Water deeply but infrequently (1-1.5 inches per week)
      4. Apply Sunday fertilizer 3-4 times per season
      5. Spot treat weeds rather than whole-lawn treatment
      6. Overseed thin areas in fall

This approach minimizes costs while promoting a resilient lawn that requires fewer inputs over time.

For a standard 1/4 acre lawn in Detroit, expect to pay $35-55 per mow. Factors affecting cost include lawn size, terrain complexity, and service frequency. Most homeowners need 26-28 mows per season from April through October.

The average Detroit homeowner spends $800-1,200 annually on traditional lawn care services. Sunday's custom lawn plans offer a more affordable option starting at $55 per season with multiple fertilizer shipments and optional add-ons for comprehensive lawn care.

Here are sustainable lawn care tips for Detroit lawns:

      1. Mow high at 3-3.5 inches to promote deeper roots and drought tolerance
      2. Water deeply but infrequently in early morning (1-1.5 inches per week)
      3. Use Sunday's custom fertilizer plan tailored to Detroit's climate and soil
      4. Leave grass clippings to return nutrients to soil
      5. Spot treat weeds rather than whole lawn applications
      6. Overseed with climate-appropriate grass varieties in fall
      7. Core aerate compacted soil annually
