This really helped my lawn to bounce back after a rough Summer. As well as hold it's own and not get any worse. I have hope now that it will flourish this Fall.

    Good program

It's taken a couple of seasons -- with some supplemental quality pre- and post-emergent herbicides, topsoil patches and overseeding -- but our grass is looking great. My only wish with Sunday is if they offered plans for larger yards.

Growing more grass now than clover!

The nutrient pouches (iron booster & green out) really help with getting the grass healthy & dandelion doom is a great help with getting rid of red & green clover.....along with pulling the weeds too. The delivery & instructions of when to apply treatments remind me when to do it. Easy to apply treatments with hose. This year all my neighbors had issues with clover.

      Gaithersburg, Maryland FAQs

Professional lawn care services in Gaithersburg typically cost $45-75 per visit or $150-200 monthly. Sunday's custom lawn plans start at $55 per season, offering a more affordable DIY option with custom fertilizer, optional weed control, and expert support delivered right to your door throughout the growing season.

When choosing lawn care in Gaithersburg, consider these key factors:

      1. Evaluate your lawn needs and time commitment - DIY vs professional service
      2. Compare service offerings - fertilization, weed control, seeding, pest management
      3. Review pricing structures - per visit vs seasonal plans
      4. Check company credentials and reviews
      5. Verify they use products suitable for Maryland's climate and grass types
      6. Ensure they follow local regulations for fertilizer and pesticide applications

Professional services offer convenience but higher costs. Sunday provides a customized DIY approach with expert guidance at lower seasonal rates.

The 1/3 rule states you should never cut more than one-third of the grass blade length in a single mowing. This prevents stress on the grass and promotes healthier growth. For example, if your grass is 3 inches tall, don't cut off more than 1 inch.

A comprehensive lawn care service in Gaithersburg typically includes:

      • Regular mowing and edging (weekly during peak season)
      • Fertilization (4-6 applications per year)
      • Weed control treatments
      • Core aeration (spring or fall)
      • Overseeding
      • Pest control as needed
      • Spring and fall cleanup
      • Basic soil testing
      • Lawn health evaluations

Sunday offers a customizable DIY alternative focused on fertilization, weed control, and seeding with expert guidance.

For a typical residential lawn in Gaithersburg, professional mowing services generally charge $45-65 per cut for a standard quarter-acre lot. Weekly mowing during peak growing season (April-October) and bi-weekly during slower periods. Factors affecting price include lot size, terrain, and obstacles.

The value of professional lawn care depends on your time, budget, and expertise. Sunday's custom lawn plans offer a middle ground - professional-grade products and expert guidance at DIY prices, while traditional services provide hands-on maintenance but cost significantly more. Choose based on how much time you want to spend maintaining your lawn.

The most cost-effective lawn maintenance approach in Gaithersburg combines basic DIY practices with smart product choices:

      1. Mow regularly at proper height
      2. Water deeply but infrequently
      3. Use Sunday's custom lawn plan for fertilizer and weed control
      4. Mulch grass clippings back into lawn
      5. Follow seasonal maintenance schedule

These practices maximize results while minimizing expenses.

To calculate lawn care costs in Gaithersburg, measure your lawn size in square feet. Multiply length by width for basic rectangular areas. For irregular shapes, break into smaller rectangles and add together. This helps determine product quantities needed and accurate pricing for services or DIY plans.
