Pasco, WA lawns average 3183 sq ft and feature cool-season grasses like tall fescue and Kentucky bluegrass. These grass types are well-suited for Washington state's climate but require specific care based on local conditions.
Pasco lawn care needs to address the highly sandy soil composition (90% sand), which means water drains quickly. This calls for:
- More frequent watering: Sandy soil doesn't retain moisture well
- Careful fertilizing: Nutrients wash away faster in sandy soil
The soil in Pasco is basic with a pH of 7.6 and has low organic matter at just 1.85%. To improve lawn care in Pasco:
- Add organic material to increase water retention
- Choose fertilizers formulated for alkaline soils
- Monitor iron levels despite the current 115 ppm reading, as high pH can limit iron availability

Great Custom Lawn Care
We are in a newly developed neighborhood that used to be desert. After using Sunday’s spring care box we had the greenest and most lush lawn in our neighborhood of 25+ homes. After getting our soil sample results we purchased additional fertilizer. That along with the summer car box kept our lawn in great shape. It’s October and we still have the nicest looking grass on our block.
