Your lawn care in Plantation should address these specific conditions:
- Sandy soil: Requires more frequent watering as it drains quickly
- Basic pH: May limit nutrient availability for grass
- High calcium: At 3,864 ppm, helps structure but can block other nutrients
For effective lawn care in Florida's warm climate:
- Water deeply but less frequently to encourage deep root growth
- Mow at proper heights for your specific grass type (higher for St. Augustine)
- Apply fertilizer that accounts for your soil's existing nutrients
Consider a soil test kit to monitor your lawn's specific needs throughout the year. The high sand content means nutrients can wash away quickly, requiring thoughtful fertilization timing.

It's A Beautiful Thing
We dropped a well known Florida based lawn and pest control service. We began using Sunday products and couldn't be more pleased with the results. The lawn, it's St. Augustine grass, has never looked better. Very thick and plush green carpet like lawn. Pests are no longer an issue ie bugs, spiders, roaches are all gone. Grubs eliminated in the yard help promote a healthy lawn and fixed the mole problem. Finally, all of this for half of the price I was paying the "experts".
