With a sandy loam composition (45% sand, 35% silt, 19% clay), lawn care in Prescott requires specific attention.
Your Prescott lawn care strategy should include:
- Watering practices: The sandy soil drains quickly, so water deeply but less frequently to encourage deep root growth
- Fertilizing needs: The soil has decent potassium (252 ppm) and phosphorus (99 ppm) levels, but regular nutrient applications help maintain grass health
- Mowing height: Keep warm-season grasses at 1.5-2.5 inches tall during growing season
The alkaline soil may affect nutrient availability, so consider a Sunday soil test kit to monitor your specific conditions. The high calcium content (2288 ppm) and good iron levels (127 ppm) support strong grass growth when paired with proper Sunday lawn care products tailored to your yard's needs.

BEST LAWN CARE EVER
Honestly, I was really skeptical at first. Living in Arizona, growing grass is really hard due to the extreme heat. I wasn't sure if Sundays could truly help us get our grass so healthy again but boy was I wrong. Our lawn is full and green and it grows so fast now and its absolutely stunning. We went with the pet lawn care because we have 3 dogs and its been incredible. They pee on the lawn constantly and you cant even see where they go! I am super impressed and I will be using Sundays for now on.
