    I started using Sunday in

I started using Sunday in 2021 and my lawn has responded beautifully with a lush green color and it is thicker. So far this year my lawn is looking great even with the hot, dry conditions in Arkansas. Receiving products is easy and applying the product is as easy as watering the lawn. I like how I receive the right amount for my lawn. So far so good and I plan on keeping this service.

    Less shopping, more green-ing

I love my Sunday lawn. I'm a Scotts convert. I'm now on my third year and have noticed that each year the lawn stays greener deeper into the fall and comes back earlier in the spring. Also love the simplicity and the fact I got to get a big push spreader out of my garage. Like most things in life, it is definitely not a miracle fix, still need to devote time to have that perfect lawn look (proper irrigation and overseeding made a huge difference for us).

      Sherwood, Oregon FAQs

Traditional lawn care services in Sherwood, OR typically cost $45-65 per visit or $150-200 monthly. Sunday's custom lawn plans start at $55 per season, with nutrients delivered in multiple shipments. Plans include fertilizer, soil testing, expert support, and optional add-ons like weed control and grass seed based on your lawn's needs.

For reliable lawn care in Sherwood, OR, consider Sunday's customized lawn plans that are tailored to your specific climate and soil conditions. Each plan includes expert guidance, soil testing, and a personalized application schedule. For basic maintenance like mowing, look for local services with good reviews and proper licensing.

The 1/3 rule states you should never cut more than one-third of the grass blade length in a single mowing. This prevents stress on the grass and promotes healthier growth. For example, if your grass is 3 inches tall, don't cut off more than 1 inch.

In Sherwood's climate, mow every 5-7 days during peak growing season (spring and fall) and every 7-10 days in summer. Maintain grass height between 2.5-3.5 inches. Mow less frequently during summer drought periods when growth slows.

Here are key lawn care best practices for Sherwood, OR:

      Spring (March-May):

      • Begin fertilizing when soil temperatures reach 50°F
      • Overseed thin areas
      • Control weeds before they establish

      Summer (June-August):

      • Water deeply but infrequently, about 1 inch per week
      • Mow at higher settings (3-3.5 inches)
      • Avoid fertilizing during peak heat

      Fall (September-November):

      • Continue regular fertilization
      • Overseed if needed
      • Remove fallen leaves promptly

      Winter (December-February):

      • Minimize foot traffic on frozen grass
      • Keep lawn clear of debris
      • Plan spring maintenance

      Year-round:

      • Test soil annually
      • Follow proper mowing height guidelines
      • Address weeds and bare spots promptly

When choosing lawn care in Sherwood, OR, focus on providers who understand the local climate and soil conditions. Key factors to evaluate:

      1. Services offered - fertilization, weed control, seeding
      2. Scheduling flexibility
      3. Service guarantees
      4. Professional licensing/insurance
      5. Cost transparency and no hidden fees

Sunday's customized plans offer convenient DIY lawn care with expert support and products tailored to Sherwood's specific needs.

The most cost-effective way to maintain a lawn in Sherwood is to handle basic maintenance yourself. Mow regularly following the 1/3 rule, water deeply but infrequently, and use a customized fertilizer plan like Sunday that starts at $55 per season. This approach costs significantly less than full-service lawn care while still promoting a healthy lawn.

Focus on these key practices to improve lawn health in Sherwood:

      1. Maintain proper mowing height at 2.5-3.5 inches
      2. Water deeply early morning, 1-1.5 inches per week
      3. Use a customized fertilizer program based on soil test results
      4. Address weeds through spot treatment
      5. Overseed thin areas in spring or fall when temperatures are mild

These practices work with Sherwood's climate to promote deeper roots and thicker grass.
