    Love my yard

Love the liquid fertilizers for my yard, My soil is horrible and this has made such a big difference in greening it up and making it look so much healthier. The only thing I am not loving is their grass seed products, these have not worked for me and I have had to redo with another brand that is working.

      Spokane, Washington FAQs

For Spokane's climate, the best grass types are Kentucky Bluegrass and Fine Fescue blends. These cool-season grasses handle the region's cold winters and hot summers well. Kentucky Bluegrass offers durability for high-traffic areas, while Fine Fescue thrives in shaded spots and requires less maintenance.

When choosing lawn care in Spokane, consider your lawn size, goals, and budget. Traditional services average $45-65 per visit, while Sunday's custom plans start at $55 per season. Sunday delivers personalized fertilizer, optional weed control and seed, plus expert support - all aligned with Spokane's climate and growing season.

The 1/3 rule means never cut more than one-third of the grass blade length in a single mowing. This promotes healthier grass by reducing stress and maintaining proper growth. For example, if your grass is 3 inches tall, don't cut more than 1 inch off at a time.

Traditional lawn care services in Spokane typically cost $45-65 per treatment, averaging $150-250 monthly during peak season. Sunday's custom lawn plans offer a more affordable option starting at $55 per season, with fertilizer and other products delivered in multiple shipments throughout your growing season.

The most cost-effective lawn maintenance in Spokane includes:

      1. Mow regularly at proper height (3-3.5 inches)
      2. Water deeply but infrequently (1-1.5 inches per week)
      3. Leave grass clippings as natural fertilizer
      4. Apply fertilizer at key growth times (spring and fall)
      5. Spot treat weeds rather than whole-lawn treatment

A DIY approach with Sunday's custom lawn plan (starting at $55/season) provides affordable, science-backed care compared to traditional services ($45-65 per visit).

To calculate lawn care costs in Spokane, measure your total lawn square footage (length x width for each section). Multiply this by the cost per square foot for services or products. For example, a 5,000 sq ft lawn using Sunday's custom plan starts at $55 per season, while traditional services may cost $45-65 per visit.

Traditional lawn care services in Spokane cost $45-65 per treatment, averaging $150-250 monthly during peak season. Sunday's custom lawn plans offer a more affordable option starting at $55 per season, with products delivered throughout your growing season based on your lawn's specific needs.

Here are eco-friendly lawn care practices for Spokane:

      1. Mow high (3-3.5 inches) to promote deeper roots and natural weed control
      2. Water early morning (before 10am) to reduce evaporation
      3. Use soil testing to apply only needed nutrients
      4. Leave grass clippings to return nutrients to soil
      5. Choose drought-resistant grass varieties
      6. Spot treat weeds rather than whole lawn applications
      7. Reduce watering in cooler months (September-May)

These practices work with nature while maintaining a healthy lawn and reducing environmental impact.

Most common grass type in Spokane Cool-season grasses
Best way to grow grass in Spokane Seeding

When to start growing grass in Spokane Spring from May 15 to June 7 or fall from September 7 to September 28

Lawn care in Spokane, Washington centers around cool-season grasses that thrive in the region's climate. The best approach for growing grass in Spokane is seeding, with two ideal planting windows: spring from mid-May to early June, and fall from early to late September.

For the best results with Spokane lawn care:

      1. Choose grass types suited to the local growing conditions like Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, or tall fescue
      2. Time your grass seeding during the recommended windows
      3. Water new grass seeds consistently to maintain soil moisture
      4. Hold off on mowing until new grass reaches 3 inches in height

The fall seeding window often brings better results for new lawns since soil temperatures remain warm while air temperatures cool down. This combination helps grass seeds germinate and establish strong roots. Start with a custom lawn plan to match your specific yard conditions and get personalized seeding recommendations for your Spokane lawn.
