How to use

Apply early morning or late evening when fire ants or harvester ants are foraging. Keep bait dry.

  1. Spread Fire Ant Fighter on and around mounds. 4 tablespoons for small, 6 for large. For prevention, broadcast across your lawn at 1 lb per 10,000 sq ft.
  2. Spray Bug Doom Home Barrier around doors and windows. Let dry.
  3. Use Bug Doom Indoor for spot treatment inside as needed.

Why didn't my last fire ant treatment work?

Probably didn't get the queen. Most products knock down the mound but leave the colony intact underground. She survives, rebuilds, and you're back where you started. Spinosad bait works differently. Forager ants carry it deep into the nest and feed it to the queen. No queen, no comeback.

How long until I see results from fire ant bait?

Bait activity starts in 24–36 hours as forager ants carry it into the colony. Full collapse usually happens in 3–14 days depending on mound size. For heavy infestations, check mounds after 2 weeks and re-treat any that are still active.

Is this fire ant kit only for Southern states?

Fire ants and harvester ants are most common in the South and Southwest: Texas, Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Alabama, Louisiana, and across the Gulf Coast. If you've got biting ants, you already know. This kit is built specifically for that problem.

Is spinosad fire ant bait safe for pets?

Yes, when used as directed. Spinosad comes from naturally occurring soil bacteria and is approved for organic gardening. Keep pets away from treated mounds until bait is collected, about 24 hours. Don't apply where pets eat or drink. Insect control sprays are safe once dry.

What types of ants does this work on?

This kit is specifically formulated for fire ants and harvester ants, the stinging ants common in the South and Southwest. Regular ant bait won't work on these species. For common household ants like pavement ants or Argentine ants, use the Sunday Ultimate Ant Kit instead.

    Not Safe

    I bought this with the impression it was safe, as it claims. I missed the "Documents" section where it shows the label of the bottle that it's toxic enough that if you get in on your skin, you should call poison control. Which it inevitably does if you don't wear gloves because the sprayer leaks all over. If you're looking for a safe, non-toxic solution for you and the environment, this isn't it. The company should be more upfront and have the label information posted right on the page, not hidden in a pdf link.

    I do like it doesn’t smell “chemically”. I think it’s doing a swell job I am just not sure it kills all ants but! That’s why I also buy the Sunday ant control products!

    I love the bug doom

    I love the bug doom product!!! I like that it isn't toxic to me or my pets but it does kill insects. I had an ant problem inside my dining room and this product took care of it. We sprayed around the inside of our garage and the next day found 2 dead cock roaches!!!
