Clover lawn guide for growing or removing clover

Sunday has products for both sides of the clover debate. Want to grow it? Want to get rid of clover in your lawn? Either way, you're covered.

If you're pro-clover, good call!
  • It fixes nitrogen in the soil naturally, it's low maintenance, and pollinators love it.
  • Sunday's Lucky Lawn is a fescue and microclover seed mix that comes in 5 lb bags.
    • Works for overseeding or starting fresh
    • Full-lawn seeding tends to work better than spot-planting since clover creeps and roots as it spreads
If you want clover gone:
  • Dandelion Doom and Weed & Green are both selective herbicides that take out broadleaf weeds like clover without touching your grass.
    • Dandelion Doom comes as a ready-to-use spray for small patches or a concentrate for bigger jobs.
    • Weed & Green is a hose-end spray that handles widespread clover and greens up your lawn at the same time.
Fair warning though!
  • Clover can bounce back from seed that's already in the soil, so you may need a second round of herbicides
