Buda lawns average 2,879 sq. ft. and typically feature warm-season grasses like bermudagrass, zoysiagrass, and St. Augustinegrass that thrive in the Texas heat. Your soil tells an interesting story:
- Clay-heavy composition: With 55% clay, 25% silt, and 20% sand, Buda soil tends to hold water but can become compacted
- Slightly alkaline: The 8.0 pH may limit certain nutrient availability
- Moderate organic matter: At 2.6%, there's room for improvement
What this means for your lawn care in Buda:
- Water deeply but less frequently to work with your clay soil
- Consider testing your soil to confirm nutrient levels
- Apply fertilizer designed for alkaline conditions
- Add organic matter to improve soil structure over time
Your nutrient profile shows good potassium (219 ppm) but watch iron levels (43 ppm), as alkaline soils can make iron less available to grass. A custom lawn plan can help address these specific Buda lawn needs.

South Texas Fan
Living in San Antonio where we are under drought restrictions, managing a lawn is challenging. My Sunday plan supplemented with Drought Defense and Water Focus has produced amazing results on my turf. Add to that the ease and effectiveness of Weed Warrior on my rock beds, this company has a BIG fan.

Texas Lawn
It is super convenient to have your lawn treatment mailed to your door and ready for application. I find the hints for when and how to apply very helpful as well as the hints for lawn care. With all the news about rising prices of fertilizer I was worried my rates would change just prior to the spring season, but Sunday held the prices for the membership steady. I would love to tell you how great my lawn looks today, but here in central Texas I am just happy my lawn is still alive with the water restrictions in place.
