    Happy in the deep South@

I have used various lawn fertilizers and contracted a few national lawn care companies over the past 40 years. I have even engaged a competitive environment whereas I competed with a national firm-you take the front yard and I'll fertilize the back yardwith box store fertilizers. ( I won by the way) However, two years ago I thought I would give SUNDAY a competitive trial.. SUNDAY products have performed extremely well-as I have a thick rich grass lawn with no open bare patches-and I do have a large dog that utilizes the yard for his outside privileges! I am extremely happy with the performance of SUNDAYS lawn enhancements. My yard is not extremely large-Approximately 18,000 square feet-so I use 3 bags per treatment- which takes about 45 minutes of my time and effort. I was able to see remarkable positive results on year two. My neighbors have made numerous positive remarks as well as my yard mower who mows my yard when I may be out of town.. Again-we are extremely pleased with the results of SUNDAY-and the fact that the products are pet and environmentally safe!

Plus, you gain valuable knowledge about lawn care practices.

For warm-season grasses common in Buford, GA, mow every 5-7 days during peak growing season (late spring through summer) and every 10-14 days during slower growth periods. Keep grass height between 2-3 inches and never remove more than 1/3 of the blade length per mowing.

In Buford, GA, early spring (March-April) is ideal for pre-emergent weed control and initial fertilization. Late spring through summer (May-August) is prime growing season requiring regular fertilization. Fall (September-October) is best for overseeding and winter prep. Avoid fertilizing during winter dormancy (December-February).

Here's how to maintain a healthy lawn in Buford, GA:

      1. Water deeply but infrequently (1-1.5 inches per week) in early morning
      2. Mow at proper height (2-3 inches) when grass is dry
      3. Apply fertilizer based on seasonal needs and soil test results
      4. Control weeds through spot treatment
      5. Aerate annually in spring or fall
      6. Overseed thin areas in fall
      7. Maintain proper soil pH (6.0-7.0)

These practices promote deep root growth and a more resilient lawn while minimizing environmental impact.

Common lawn care challenges in Buford, GA include:

      • High humidity leading to fungal diseases
      • Clay-heavy soils that can compact easily
      • Summer heat stress on grass
      • Frequent weed pressure, especially crabgrass and dandelions
      • Managing proper irrigation during hot summers
      • Maintaining grass during transition seasons

Focus on proper watering, soil health, and consistent maintenance to address these challenges.

Here are cost-saving tips for lawn care in Buford, GA:

      1. Test soil to avoid over-fertilizing
      2. Water deeply but less frequently in early morning
      3. Maintain proper mowing height to reduce water needs
      4. Spot treat weeds instead of whole-lawn applications
      5. Consider a DIY approach with Sunday's custom lawn plan
      6. Follow seasonal timing for treatments to maximize effectiveness
