Lawn Care in Colleyville, TX for Hot Humid Summers
Lawn care in Colleyville means working with hot humid summers and the fungal pressure that tags along.

Lawn care built for Colleyville summers
Colleyville sits where North Texas heat meets sticky humidity. Your lawn feels it every July and August.
That sandy soil drains fast (a blessing), but the alkaline ground and warm air create prime conditions for fungal visitors. Sunday builds custom plans using satellite imagery of your actual yard and local climate data from right here in Colleyville, Texas.
What Sunday tracks for Colleyville lawns
- Soil nutrient levels from proprietary lawn analysis
- Seasonal timing matched to warm-season grasses
- Moisture patterns that invite (or discourage) fungus
- Local weather shifts throughout the growing season

Sandy soil and lawn care in Colleyville
That fast-draining sandy loam is a gift, but it also means water and nutrients slip away quicker than you'd expect. The biggest local mistake? Overwatering to compensate, which invites fungus during sticky summers. Water deeply but less often, and feed in smaller doses through the growing season. Our lawn guides break down timing for North Texas yards.

Texas Lawn
It is super convenient to have your lawn treatment mailed to your door and ready for application. I find the hints for when and how to apply very helpful as well as the hints for lawn care. With all the news about rising prices of fertilizer I was worried my rates would change just prior to the spring season, but Sunday held the prices for the membership steady. I would love to tell you how great my lawn looks today, but here in central Texas I am just happy my lawn is still alive with the water restrictions in place.

I am soooooo satisfied with
I am soooooo satisfied with my Sunday plan. My yard has never looked so good. Product is easy to apply and is formulated to meet the exact needs of my lawn. Also Sunday has a great customer service team that will help with all your questions. This year has been extremely hot and dry here in Texas but so far my lawn is surviving well under the stress.

Texas = Hot
Easy application and real time support, couldn’t be happier with the system. Had issues this past year with fungus growing, fixed with a better watering plan. Now my issue is the brutal Texas heat.

Colleyville, Texas FAQs
How to grow grass in Colleyville, Texas
| Recommended grass species | Bermudagrass, zoysiagrass, St. Augustinegrass, buffalograss |
| Best establishment method | Seeding, sodding, or plugging |
| Spring seeding window | April 17 to May 29 |
Colleyville lawns thrive in warm, humid conditions with alkaline soil that most warm-season grasses handle well. The challenge? Hot summers bring heat stress and fungal pressure when moisture lingers too long.
Why your spring window matters more than you think
Seed or sod Bermuda, zoysia, or St. Augustine between mid-April and late May when soil temps climb above 65°F. Water deeply but infrequently to push roots down (not daily sprinkles that invite fungus). One common mistake: skipping soil prep on that alkaline clay and wondering why plugs struggle.
