Lawn care built for Dripping Springs heat
The Hill Country sun doesn't mess around. Neither does your soil.
Dripping Springs lawns grow in alkaline clay that bakes hard in summer and holds water like a grudge. Warm-season grasses like bermuda and St. Augustine actually love it here once they settle in.

Dripping Springs lawns grow in clay-heavy, alkaline soil that holds water tight but can stress roots in summer heat. The good news? Warm-season grasses like bermuda and St. Augustine actually thrive here once established.
Why Dripping Springs lawn care starts underground
That high calcium content (seriously high) means your soil locks up nutrients before grass can grab them. Water deeply but less often to encourage roots to dig down past the clay. And skip the lime treatments. Your pH is already alkaline, so adding more just makes things worse. Check out our lawn guides for more Hill Country tips.

South Texas Fan
Living in San Antonio where we are under drought restrictions, managing a lawn is challenging. My Sunday plan supplemented with Drought Defense and Water Focus has produced amazing results on my turf. Add to that the ease and effectiveness of Weed Warrior on my rock beds, this company has a BIG fan.

Texas Lawn
It is super convenient to have your lawn treatment mailed to your door and ready for application. I find the hints for when and how to apply very helpful as well as the hints for lawn care. With all the news about rising prices of fertilizer I was worried my rates would change just prior to the spring season, but Sunday held the prices for the membership steady. I would love to tell you how great my lawn looks today, but here in central Texas I am just happy my lawn is still alive with the water restrictions in place.

Easy and efficient
Sunday Lawn care has been great for our grass growth. I do wish weed control was a little better as we were attacked my sticker-bearing weeds this year. But our grass has never been greener. It is easy to use and convenient. And price is 10x cheaper than anywhere you will find at just less than 30 minutes a month.

Growing grass in Dripping Springs
Dripping Springs sits in Hill Country's warm arid zone, where alkaline clay soil and scorching summers make grass selection everything. The good news? Once you pick the right variety and nail your timing, these tough warm-season grasses actually thrive on a little neglect.
Your spring planting window is shorter than you think
Aim to seed or sod between early April and mid-May, when soil temps hit that sweet spot for germination. Prep your alkaline clay with a bit of compost to improve drainage. One common mistake: watering too often and too shallow. Deep, infrequent soaks encourage roots to dig down where moisture lasts.
