Fulshear, TX lawns typically span about 3063 sq ft with warm-season grasses like bermudagrass, St. Augustine, and zoysia dominating the landscape. The local soil has some unique characteristics that affect lawn care approaches.
The soil in Fulshear is quite sandy (55%) with moderate silt (34%) and low clay (10%). This soil composition affects how you should approach watering your lawn. Sandy soils drain quickly, so more frequent watering may be necessary during Texas heat waves.
Fulshear soil tends to be alkaline with a pH of 8.0, which can impact nutrient availability. A soil test kit can help you monitor this important factor. The soil contains:
- Potassium (115 ppm): Good for drought resistance
- Phosphorus (19 ppm): Relatively low, may need supplementation
- Calcium (2316 ppm): High levels typical of alkaline soils
- Iron (111 ppm): May be less available in high pH soil
For effective lawn care in Fulshear, consider:
- Using iron supplements to prevent yellowing in your warm-season grasses
- Adjusting fertilization timing based on your specific grass type
- Following a custom lawn plan with application dates tailored to Texas growing conditions

South Texas Fan
Living in San Antonio where we are under drought restrictions, managing a lawn is challenging. My Sunday plan supplemented with Drought Defense and Water Focus has produced amazing results on my turf. Add to that the ease and effectiveness of Weed Warrior on my rock beds, this company has a BIG fan.

Texas Lawn
It is super convenient to have your lawn treatment mailed to your door and ready for application. I find the hints for when and how to apply very helpful as well as the hints for lawn care. With all the news about rising prices of fertilizer I was worried my rates would change just prior to the spring season, but Sunday held the prices for the membership steady. I would love to tell you how great my lawn looks today, but here in central Texas I am just happy my lawn is still alive with the water restrictions in place.

We had a pool put in and were having a hard time getting our lawn to look lush again. Sunday helped greatly.

Texas = Hot
Easy application and real time support, couldn’t be happier with the system. Had issues this past year with fungus growing, fixed with a better watering plan. Now my issue is the brutal Texas heat.
