Lawn care in Milton, Florida requires specific attention to the sandy soil conditions. With lawns averaging 5,072 sq. ft., Milton yards feature warm-season grasses that grow well in the local climate. The soil is mostly sand (90%), which means water and nutrients move through quickly.
The slightly acidic soil pH of 6.1 works well for most grass types, but the low organic matter (1.52%) suggests room for improvement. A soil test can help track nutrient levels and guide your lawn care plan.
Key steps for Milton lawn care:
- Add fertilizer regularly to maintain nutrient levels in sandy soil
- Water deeply but less often to help grass develop strong roots
- Mow at proper height for your specific grass type
- Leave grass clippings on the lawn to add organic matter back to soil
The local growing conditions support a year-round lawn care schedule, with active growth from spring through fall. Check out our lawn care guides for more tips on maintaining your Milton lawn.

Street Envy
The absolute best. I know nothing about taking care of a lawn but yet mine is flourishing. I have been asked by everyone on my street what I've been using and a few have followed behind me and gotten Sunday as well. Well worth it.

This was the 1st SUNDAY
This was the 1st SUNDAY product I tried. I sprayed it on clusters of flat deep rooted weeds that had intertwined with the bermuda grass all over the yard. Almost immediately the weeds turned black. I tried to dig them out but the roots were so deep and broad it left holes in the ground. after a couple of hours of hard digging, pulling I left them. As they died out, over the next weeks, the grass started growing over them and covering them up! (I had applied the first lawn treatment by then). So now there's no trace of those huge clumps of flat weeds and all solid new grass growth -- it looks great and knowing I didn't use harmful herbicides feels great!

Perfect for my small yard
I have a tiny city yard (one sprinkler) that I never knew how to keep nice and/or bought enormous bags of stuff better suited for 5,000 sq ft. mega-lawns. Sunday has kept my humble yard looking amazing.
