When to apply Sunbelt Nutrients

Apply Sunbelt Nutrients in spring when daily average temps consistently hold above the range for your grass type:

• Cool-season grasses require temperatures above 40-49° F.
• Warm-season grasses need temps above 60-69° F.

Apply when grass is actively growing and isn't stressed.

How to apply Sunbelt Nutrients with custom plans

For best results, apply it before all custom lawn plan fertilizer applications.

If you miss applying it before your first My Plan application, don't worry. Apply Sunbelt Nutrients at least 7 days after your first dated application.

How to apply Sunbelt Nutrients

Prep the pouch

Shake the pouch. Then remove the cap and attach the sprayer nozzle.

Attach your hose

Hook up your hose to the sprayer nozzle. Then turn on the water and open the valve to spray.

Spray it on

Aim for a light, even coat of nutrients across the entire coverage area, doubling back for an additional coat if needed. A full pouch should take about 10 minutes to apply.

Application based on yard size:

1,000–2,500 sq. ft.: 1/2 pouch

2,500–5,000 sq. ft.: 1 pouch

5,000–10,000 sq. ft.: 2 pouches

Let it dry

Allow grass to dry fully for best results. You can get back on your lawn as soon as it dries!

Sunbelt Nutrient application tips

• Apply between 50-85 degrees F in the early morning or evening
• Make sure your lawn is well-hydrated before application—if needed, water your lawn 2–24 hours before applying the fertilizer
• You can apply to moist soil, but not if rain is expected within 3 hours
• Wait until the lawn is dry before walking or letting pets and kids on the grass
• Wait 2 days after applying before mowing
• Do not apply to drought-stressed or heat-stressed lawns.

Store the product upright with the cap closed tightly in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing in excessive heat or freezing temperatures. Before each use, shake the bottle well to ensure optimal performance.
