What’s in Sunday Plant Food?
Our plant foods have five simple ingredients:
- Soy protein to provide slow-release nitrogen, which helps boost overall growth.
- Composted turkey litter an industry by-product that provides nitrogen and other nutrients.
- Feather meal to encourage green, leafy growth.
- Rock phosphate adds a boost of phosphorus to encourage root and fruit production.
- Sulfate of potash magnesia enhances growth and hardiness, with a dose of potassium, sulfur, and magnesium.
Sunday Plant Food products
The ratio of the nutrients in a fertilizer is key - all plants need nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, but different plants need different nutrients at different stages of growth. That’s why we designed a variety of plant foods to help tailor your feedings to what your plants need.
All Purpose Plant Food
Our 6-3-8 All Purpose Garden plant food is the perfect all-around fertilizer for new or established flowers, veggies, trees, and shrubs. The nitrogen helps boost leafy growth and the extra potassium helps with disease resistance and overall plant hardiness.
How to use it
For containers:
- Mix 2 tbsp of dry fertilizer per gallon of soil or potting mix before planting new container gardens.
- Sprinkle 1 tbsp per 4 inch pot diameter onto existing containers.
For garden beds, trees, and shrubs:
- Mix 1 cup per 25 square feet into the top four inches of soil
- Sprinkle 1 cup dry fertilizer onto the soil surface for every foot of tree or shrub branch diameter
Veggie & Tomato Plant Food
This 5-4-5 Veggie & Tomato plant food is specially designed with a little extra phosphorus to help boost flower and fruit production, so it’s a great option for veggie and herb gardens.
How to use it

Flower & Bloom Plant Food

For containers:
- Mix 2 tbsp of dry fertilizer per gallon of soil or potting mix before planting new containers.
- Sprinkle 1 tbsp per 4 inch pot diameter onto existing containers.
