INSTRUCTIONS

For best results, apply between 50-85 degrees F when no rain is expected for 3+ hours:

  1. Shake bottle well before using
  2. Adjust nozzle to desired spray pattern
  3. Spray directly onto weed leaves until thoroughly covered
  4. Allow to dry completely before any foot or pet traffic
  5. Repeat treatment in 3-4 weeks for tough weeds if needed

How does this lawn-safe weed killer work?

Grass and weeds absorb iron differently. Weeds quickly take in too much iron, which becomes toxic and kills them. Grass absorbs iron more slowly and can tolerate higher amounts. This difference allows us to target weeds while giving your lawn a healthy, deeper green color.

What's the difference between ready-to-use Dandelion Doom and the concentrate version?

This is a ready-to-use formula in convenient spray bottles - no mixing required. It's perfect for spot-treating individual weeds or small areas. The concentrate version is more economical for treating larger areas but requires mixing with water and using a sprayer system.

What weeds does Dandelion Doom control?

Dandelion Doom is effective on broadleaf weeds like black medic*, broadleaf plantain, bull thistle, Canada thistle*, common chickweed*, creeping buttercup, creeping charlie/ground ivy*, dandelion, dovefoot geranium*, English daisy*, false dandelion, healall*, moss, liverworts*, algae* and lichens*, narrow-leaved plantain*, oxalis, Persian Speedwell, prostrate knotweed*, shepherd’s-purse*, silverweed cinquefoil*, slender speedwell*, white clover, wild chamomile*.

It can also control or suppress diseases such as but not limited to*: Dollar Spot, Rust or Snow Mold.

*Not approved for this use in California. Please see California label for approved use.

Does Dandelion Doom stain?

Yes, it can cause staining due to high iron content. Avoid using on sidewalks, concrete, or other hard surfaces. If you accidentally spill, immediately spray and dilute the area with water. For best results, apply on calm days to prevent overspray.

How to use Dandelion Doom with other Sunday products?

Ideally, apply weed control before seeding, fertilizing, or applying pest control. Allow to dry completely before applying other liquid products or watering your lawn. For best results with Sunday grass seed, wait one day after applying Dandelion Doom before seeding.

Are there any US states where this is not approved for use?

Not for crabgrass

This product did absolutely nothing for our crabgrass problem. I was hoping to use all Sunday products since they seem to be safer, but I may have to resort to a different herbicide for the crabgrass

Thank you for sharing your experience! Dandelion Doom is an effective weed control option for broadleaf weeds, but it does not address grassy weeds like crabgrass. Crabgrass can be tricky, particularly because it's so biologically similar to turfgrass! Crabgrass germinates in the summer and thrives in even the toughest of conditions, so it's important to treat the issue as soon as you see it! Our non-selective herbicide, Weed Warrior, will be the most effective option when treating crabgrass and other similar growth. Just be careful when using it within your lawn, since it damages healthy grass as well if sprayed directly on it!

We're sorry to hear that your weed control results aren't as expected! Here are some Best Practices to follow for best results. 1.) Try to apply on a sunny day. While not mandatory, sunshine will improve the efficacy and speed of our herbicides. With sunshine unfiltered by clouds, our herbicides will work even better. A rainfall within 3 hours after application can make the herbicides ineffective. Optimal temperatures for application are between 50F to 85F. 2.) Apply when the weeds look healthy. When weeds are stressed or injured, weeds release hormones to recover. These hormones make herbicides less effective. Hormones are also released if weeds are mowed; we recommend not applying on the same day you mow. 3.) Apply the leaves liberally. Our herbicides just need to make contact with the leaves to work; trying to apply to the roots won't be effective. For best results, you want the leaves soaked, but not to the point where the herbicides is dripping off the leaves. 4.) Know the age of the weed. Older and established weeds will likely require more applications. For older weeds, we recommend doing multiple applications on the same day; just let the leaves dry out in-between applications.

Waste of money

ALL of the dandelions I treated came back up within a few weeks. Every one. I spend a lot of money on this stuff. I recommend the Fiskars stand up weeder. WAY more effective and less expensive. If you have a big yard like we do, this stuff just won’t do it. If you have a small yard, and can reapply ...

Killed my lawn

I applied the this yesterday and woke up today to a completely dead lawn. It was heading in the right direction and now it’s a disaster. Is the dandelion spray supposed to kill all of your lawn???

We ordered and paid for Dandelion Doom on 6/14/24 but still haven't received a month later!

We ordered Dandelion Doom Herbicide Concentrate Refill (2-pack) on 6/14/24 and our credit card was processed and charged on 6/15/24 but we never received our order. We needed it right away for an emerging dandelion problem that we wanted to keep under control with a more natural product than most we...

Added more weeds to my lawn

My front and back yards are not connected. I have cement and space between each. My back yard had a small amount of thistle in one area, for many years, has NEVER spread before. I used to just mow over them and they would grow back slow. I had dandelions from my front yard neighbor. I purchased the ...

We're sorry to hear that your experience was not as expected! If you've recently raked or tilled your area in order to spread new seed, you may have disturbed a seed bank in your lawn, which can lead to new weeds that you haven't experience before. It sounds like the thistle in your lawn was well-established; these mature weeds can require multiple applications of weed control. For best results, apply in direct heat and sunlight, and try removing any seed heads and splitting the stems of mature weeds before applying weed control.

White clover taking over

I couldn't be happier with the Dandelion Doom Concentrate. It was much easier to use than the smaller spray bottle of the same product esp in large applications. My entire yard was being taken over clover. You could see it start working within hours after applying. Now with the rain here in the PNW ...

Works but….

Removed some of the weeds but left brown marks in the grass, possibly grass damage. Initially thought it was rabbit pee.

Effective but scorched my yard

It was pretty effective in killing the dandelions in my backyard, but it also killed the grass. In the areas where I sprayed dandelion doom, my grass looks scorched. It was completely ineffective on my front lawn.

Skepticism erased!

I applied it with no rain in forecast. However, the following morning it was evident that a light rain fell overnight (darn! would it inhibit the Dandelion Doom?). In the sunny afternoon I went to apply additional spray and to my surprise discovered dozens of nearly-black dandelions looking as if th...
