Spray in the morning, weeds gone by dinner

Dandelion Doom is a ready-to-use spot treatment that starts wilting broadleaf weeds and moss within hours and works down to the root over 1 to 2 weeks, without harming your lawn.

The 2-pack keeps you conveniently stocked for spring treatment, stubborn regrowth, and fall follow-up without a mid-season reorder.

What's doing the work

  • Results in hours Visible wilting the same day on actively growing weeds
  • Kills broadleaf weeds at the root Dandelions, clover, chickweed, ground ivy, oxalis, plantain, thistle, speedwell, knotweed, and more
  • Won't harm your lawn when used as directed Works on all cool and warm season grass types
  • Kills moss and algae too And suppresses common lawn diseases
  • Weed today, seed tomorrow Safe to reseed just 1 day after applying
  • Backed by our satisfaction guarantee

How to use

Apply between 50 and 85°F on a sunny day. Avoid rain for 3 hours after.

  1. Shake bottle and adjust nozzle to desired spray pattern.
  2. Spray directly onto weed leaves until thoroughly covered.
  3. Let dry completely before foot or pet traffic.

Repeat in 3 to 4 weeks for stubborn or established weeds.

What weeds does Dandelion Doom kill?

Broadleaf weeds including dandelions, white clover, chickweed, creeping charlie, ground ivy, oxalis, and bull thistle. Also kills moss and algae. Does not control grassy weeds like crabgrass, for that try Weed Warrior.

Will it kill my grass?

No. The formula is selective. Broadleaf weeds absorb iron in a way that's toxic to them while your grass tolerates it. Works on all cool and warm season turf when used as directed. Apply within the 50 to 85°F window for best results.

How long does it take to work?

Visible wilting starts within hours on actively growing weeds. Full results within 1 to 2 weeks. Established weeds may need a second application 3 to 4 weeks later.

Can I use this on my whole lawn?

This formula is for spot treating individual weeds. For heavier weed pressure across a larger area, Dandelion Doom Concentrate with a wand sprayer is the more efficient choice. No sprayer? These bottles work across the whole lawn one spot at a time.

Is the 2-pack worth it over buying one bottle?

Weeds show up in spring and again in fall. Stubborn ones need a second round. One bottle rarely covers a full season. Two keeps you stocked without thinking about it.

Is it safe for kids and pets?

This is made from one active ingredient, iron. No harsh chemicals, ever. So people and pets can return to the area once the spray has dried.

Worst product ever!

Purchase this for the first time (and last) to kill some dandelions coming in the yard. Sprayed and could tell zero affect after a day. Even more dandelions started coming in and I feel like it was a fertilizer more than a weed killer. Maybe I received a bad batch

Hi Zac, we're sorry to hear that your weed control results aren't as expected! Here are some Best Practices to follow for best results. 1.) Try to apply on a sunny day. While not mandatory, sunshine will improve the efficacy and speed of our herbicides. With sunshine unfiltered by clouds, our herbicides will work even better. A rainfall within 3 hours after application can make the herbicides ineffective. Optimal temperatures for application are between 50F to 85F. 2.) Apply when the weeds look healthy. When weeds are stressed or injured, weeds release hormones to recover. These hormones make herbicides less effective. Hormones are also released if weeds are mowed; we recommend not applying on the same day you mow. 3.) Apply the leaves liberally. Our herbicides just need to make contact with the leaves to work; trying to apply to the roots won't be effective. For best results, you want the leaves soaked, but not to the point where the herbicides is dripping off the leaves. 4.) Know the age of the weed. Older and established weeds will likely require more applications. For older weeds, we recommend doing multiple applications on the same day; just let the leaves dry out in-between applications.

its been a week after I have used your products, killed absolutely nothing. Followed instructions, and looks like I got more flowers instead of killing them.

I just subscribed to your lawn care program, and I was excited to try the Dandelion Doom that was sent to me.   So far, I have to say I am far from impressed with your product.   I followed the instructions for that spray, and I am not sure it killed even 1 dandelion in my yard.   I truly hope your ...

Thanks for sharing your experience with us! As listed in the FAQ section of our product page, Dandelion Doom can cause staining due to high iron content. Avoid using on sidewalks, concrete, or other hard surfaces. If you accidentally spill, immediately spray and dilute the area with water. For best results, apply on calm days to prevent overspray.

What does it kill??

So far, I've yet to find a weed that this will actually kill. I've used it in bright sunlight. I've given it time to let them die. I've used an ample application. But nothing is dying. Did I buy a worthless product?

Not for crabgrass

This product did absolutely nothing for our crabgrass problem. I was hoping to use all Sunday products since they seem to be safer, but I may have to resort to a different herbicide for the crabgrass

Thank you for sharing your experience! Dandelion Doom is an effective weed control option for broadleaf weeds, but it does not address grassy weeds like crabgrass. Crabgrass can be tricky, particularly because it's so biologically similar to turfgrass! Crabgrass germinates in the summer and thrives in even the toughest of conditions, so it's important to treat the issue as soon as you see it! Our non-selective herbicide, Weed Warrior, will be the most effective option when treating crabgrass and other similar growth. Just be careful when using it within your lawn, since it damages healthy grass as well if sprayed directly on it!
