How to plant Kentucky bluegrass seed
- Apply at the correct rate. For overseeding, use 2 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.; for starting a new lawn from scratch, use 2 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. For patching, cover the area lightly with seed and topdress with compost or a light layer of soil if desired.
- Start at the lowest setting and apply uniformly. For hand or drop spreader applications, no matter the spreader type, always begin at the lowest setting. Increase the spreader setting if the seed is getting stuck or not easily distributed. Walk at a consistent pace across the lawn to distribute seed uniformly. Check after application for uniformity and reapply in areas where coverage is light.
- Water the seed to germination. Keep the seed moist, not oversaturated, until the grass seed germinates—depending on the grass type, this can be 1-3 weeks. Avoid letting new or germinating seeds dry out to ensure successful seeding.

love it I seeded in spring to cover a big patch left from a kids pool. wish I had mixed with other seeds to even it out with the rest of the lawn. next time I will buy a bag of each and mix together. Pacific Northwest lawns like the Fescue and Blue grows good.
It looks amazing and I am satisfied with the results.
I have purchased this seed a couple of times now. It's easy to use, the grass sprouts fairly quickly. I will continue to use for a long long time!
