Ingredients

Tall fescue. Deep roots that hold up in heat and drought. This is the backbone of the blend, giving your lawn structure and staying power.

Fine fescue. Thrives in shade and low-nutrient soil where other grasses give up. Adds density and a softer feel underfoot.

Microclover (5%). A compact clover that spreads into thin spots and fixes nitrogen from the air, turning it into food your grass can actually use. Stays low, supports pollinators, and fills in where grass struggles.

How to use

Plant in spring or fall when temperatures are between 55 and 75 degrees F. You can also do dormant seeding in winter when temps are below 40 degrees F.

Pick your rate. Use 2 lbs per 1,000 sq ft for overseeding. Use 5 lbs per 1,000 sq ft for new lawns or heavy repair.
Set your spreader low. Start at the lowest setting and make multiple passes for even coverage.
Water right away. Give the seed a good soak after applying.

Question: Is the Lucky Lawn blend suitable for an east facing lawn in metro Denver? There’s a lot of sun in the summer. Would the Fescue blend be better suited? I really like the idea of a clover blend as our yard attracts a lot of pollinators.

Question: How often does this blend need to be mowed and how tall does it grow? Trying to compare this with similar blends, many of which are "no-mow" blends that stay short with minimal mowing.

Although Lucky Lawn thrives with minimal care, it does contain tall and fine fescue so it will likely still need to be mowed.

Question: This is all well and good, but what is the packaging like? Because being an eco focussed brand means nothing if you're just pumping out more single use junk to end up in our waters doing more harm than your product prevents. Do your products come package in individual plastic wrapping? It looks like these pouches are single use, what are they made of? I love the idea of what you're trying to do, but the lack of reusability makes this feel no different than any other safe lawn care with the added downside of paying a premium price.
