Kill weeds while greening your lawn

Weed control isn't one job, and it isn't one product. Trying to handle your whole lawn with a single formula is like edging your lawn with a lawnmower. You get close, but not quite.

This kit pairs two formulas designed to work together. Weed & Green goes on broad via hose-end, covering the full lawn to prevent crabgrass, knock out existing broadleaf weeds, and green up your grass while it works. Dandelion Doom follows with a targeted concentrate formula for the stubborn spots that push through later in the season.

Weed control is a full season, not a Saturday. This kit is built for both.

What's doing the work

  • Full-lawn pre and post-emergent coverage Prevents crabgrass, controls existing broadleaf weeds, and greens your lawn
  • Precision spot treatment Targets dandelions, clover, moss, and breakthrough weeds right where they stand
  • Safe for all cool and warm season turfgrasses Iron-based formulas only
  • Tools included Hose-end sprayer and wand sprayer for both application methods
  • Backed by our satisfaction guarantee

What's included

  • Weed & Green Broadcast Spray 16 oz. hose-end sprayer, covers up to 2,500 sq. ft.
  • Dandelion Doom Concentrate 5 oz. concentrate, coverage up to 224 sq. ft.
  • Herbicide mixing pouch, hose-end sprayer and wand sprayer included

Not available in CA.

How to use

  1. Apply Weed & Green across your lawn with the hose-end sprayer. Avoid rain for 6 hours after.
  2. Spot treat breakthrough weeds with Dandelion Doom using the wand sprayer. Apply on a sunny day when weeds are actively growing.
  3. Reapply Weed & Green every 3 to 6 weeks. Dandelion Doom every 4 to 6 weeks.

Older weeds take more than one round. Apply again once leaves have dried.

What does each product do and when do I use which one?

Weed & Green attaches to your hose and covers the full lawn, preventing crabgrass from germinating and controlling existing broadleaf weeds across the whole yard. It works as both a pre and post-emergent, so it's handling two jobs at once. Dandelion Doom is for the spots that push through later. Mix the concentrate, grab the wand, and spot-treat what's left. Two tools, two moments in the season.

Can I use pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control at the same time?

Yes. Apply Weed & Green across the full lawn first and let it dry, then use Dandelion Doom to spot-treat other areas. Both are iron-based and safe to use on the same day, just avoid spraying on the same areas.

How often should I apply each product?

Weed & Green up to two times a year with 3 to 6 weeks intervals in between each application. Dandelion Doom every 4 to 6 weeks, up to four times per season. A seasonal routine changes your lawn. One application just starts it.

Why am I not seeing results?

Apply on a sunny day when weeds are actively growing. Avoid rain within 6 hours. Don't mow the same day you treat. Soak the weed leaves thoroughly without letting product drip off. Older established weeds need multiple applications so if progress is slow, apply again once leaves are dry and results build from there.

Does Dandelion Doom work on weeds other than dandelions?

Yes. It controls clover, chickweed, thistle, spurge, oxalis, and creeping charlie among others. It targets broadleaf weeds without harming your grass. For grassy weeds like crabgrass, Weed & Green handles that side.

How long after applying is it safe for kids and pets?

People and pets can return to the area once the spray has dried. No harsh chemicals. No yellow warning flags necessary.

Not Effective

I followed all the instructions and recommendations for best application, and sadly, I haven’t seen any difference in our weeds.

We're sorry to hear that your weed control results aren't as expected! Here are some Best Practices to follow for best results. 1.) Try to apply on a sunny day. While not mandatory, sunshine will improve the efficacy and speed of our herbicides. With sunshine unfiltered by clouds, our herbicides will work even better. A rainfall within 3 hours after application can make the herbicides ineffective. Optimal temperatures for application are between 50F to 85F. 2.) Apply when the weeds look healthy. When weeds are stressed or injured, weeds release hormones to recover. These hormones make herbicides less effective. Hormones are also released if weeds are mowed; we recommend not applying on the same day you mow. 3.) Apply the leaves liberally. Our herbicides just need to make contact with the leaves to work; trying to apply to the roots won't be effective. For best results, you want the leaves soaked, but not to the point where the herbicides is dripping off the leaves. 4.) Know the age of the weed. Older and established weeds will likely require more applications. For older weeds, we recommend doing multiple applications on the same day; just let the leaves dry out in-between applications.

Worked great

We had a lot of dandelions and weeds in our front yard last summer. When the dandelions all came up again this spring, I decided to give this a try. It worked great and within a day or two they were all starting to die. Now, a month later, our yard looks great with no weeds and is very green. Will d...

So Far So Good

First year using, and it has been working so far. As things take time and repetition, my dandelions and crab grass has been slowly disappearing. I only recommend if you have the time to follow and keep up on.
