Your lawn's summer survival plan, in one box

Summer Heat Defense Kit is a summer lawn care kit that tackles heat stress, drought, and broadleaf weeds in one box. Treat weeds with iron-based Dandelion Doom, lock in moisture with Water Focus, then strengthen roots with Lawn Aid. Sprayers included. Pair with your Custom Lawn Plan or add Drought Defense for peak heat.

What makes Summer Heat Defense Kit different

  • Heat stress prevention and weed control in one kit
  • Iron-based herbicide that won't harm your grass
  • Seaweed extract and potassium strengthen roots
  • Surfactant helps soil hold water longer
  • Sprayers included, hooks up to your hose
  • Works on most residential turfgrass types

Ingredients

Lawn Aid (0-0-3): Potassium for heat and drought tolerance. Seaweed extract for deep greening, turf density, and stronger root systems.

Water Focus: Surfactant for water retention. Slow-release nitrogen for sustained growth. Potassium for better water management. Molasses to feed soil microbes and support healthy soil biology.

Dandelion Doom: Iron-based active ingredient, that targets broadleaf weeds in high doses. Grass has a higher iron tolerance, so it stays unharmed. Also helps suppress lawn diseases like dollar spot, rust, and snow mold.

How to use

Apply when temperatures are between 50 and 85 degrees F. Early morning or late evening works best on a well-hydrated lawn.

  1. Spot-treat weeds first. Mix Dandelion Doom concentrate in the included wand sprayer pouch. Spray dry weeds from a close distance until drenched. Wait 20 to 30 minutes, then pull and dispose of remains.
  2. Wait at least 24 hours before applying nutrients. Treating weeds first keeps them from feeding on your fertilizer.
  3. Apply Water Focus. Connect the hose-end sprayer to your hose and the pouch. Distribute evenly in a sweeping motion until the pouch is empty, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Wait two weeks, then apply Lawn Aid the same way. This spacing gives each product time to do its thing.
  5. Water thoroughly after each nutrient application. Reapply Lawn Aid every 4 weeks from spring through fall, up to 8 times per year.

How soon after applying Summer Heat Defense Kit should I water my lawn?

Water your lawn thoroughly right after applying Lawn Aid or Water Focus from the Summer Heat Defense Kit.

For Dandelion Doom, do not water for at least 3 hours so the iron-based formula has time to work on weeds.

Can I use the Summer Heat Defense Kit with my Sunday custom lawn plan?
