Ingredients
Premium perennial ryegrass seed (2 varieties): Fast-establishing grass seed that fills in bare and thin areas quickly. Delivers a thick, durable lawn with strong disease and insect resistance.
Fine fescue grass seed: Shade-tolerant seed that thrives where other grasses struggle. Adds texture and stays green with less water.
1-0-0 NPK slow-release fertilizer: Feeds new seedlings steadily over time so roots get established without burning. No guesswork on when to fertilize.
Recycled paper mulch: Holds moisture around seeds to improve germination and keeps seed in place. Made from recycled paper, not dyed wood chips.
How to use
Best results come from seeding in spring or fall when temperatures are consistently between 55 and 75 degrees F.
- Prep the soil. Clear away dead grass, leaves, and debris. Break up any exposed or compacted soil so seed can make direct contact with dirt. Good seed-to-soil contact is essential to germination.
- Spread at the right rate. For bare areas, use at least 1 cup per 1 sq ft. For thinning lawns, use about 1 pound per 15 sq ft. Spread evenly by hand or with a small spreader.
- Water consistently. Water lightly 1 to 2 times daily, early morning and evening, until grass reaches about 2 inches tall. Keep foot traffic off the area until the new grass is established.
