INSTRUCTIONS

For best results, apply between 50-85 degrees F when no rain is expected for 3+ hours:

  1. Pour one full bottle of Dandelion Doom into your reusable Sunday pouch and attach the sprayer
  2. Use your outside hose to fill the pouch up to the 1-gallon mark
  3. Secure the cap of the reusable pouch and shake well
  4. Spray onto weeds in your lawn until leaves are entirely covered
  5. Repeat treatment in 3-4 weeks for best results

How does this lawn-safe weed killer work?

Grass and weeds absorb iron differently. Weeds quickly take in too much iron, which becomes toxic and kills them. Grass absorbs iron more slowly and can tolerate higher amounts.

What weeds does Dandelion Doom control?

Dandelion Doom is effective on broadleaf weeds like black medic*, broadleaf plantain, bull thistle, Canada thistle*, common chickweed*, creeping buttercup, creeping charlie/ground ivy*, dandelion, dovefoot geranium*, English daisy*, false dandelion, healall*, moss, liverworts*, algae* and lichens*, narrow-leaved plantain*, oxalis, Persian Speedwell, prostrate knotweed*, shepherd’s-purse*, silverweed cinquefoil*, slender speedwell*, white clover, wild chamomile*.

It can also control or suppress diseases such as but not limited to*: Dollar Spot, Rust or Snow Mold.

*Not approved for this use in California. Please see CA label for all approved use.

Do I need the Dandelion Doom Starter Pack to use this product?

Yes, these are refill concentrates only. You'll need the sprayer and pouch that come with the Dandelion Doom Starter Pack or Starter 2-Pack to apply this product.

How many applications will I get from this 2-pack?

Each bottle treats up to 224 sq. ft. of lawn area, so the 2-pack provides enough concentrate for two separate applications at this coverage, or one application over a larger 448 sq. ft. area.

How to use Dandelion Doom with other Sunday products?

You can apply Dandelion Doom before or after lawn fertilizer. Allow weed control products to dry completely before applying other liquid products or watering your lawn–the longer the weed control absorbs, the more effective the application.

Does Dandelion Doom stain?

It can cause staining due to high iron formula. Avoid using on sidewalks or hard surfaces. If you spill, immediately rinse the area. For best results, mix over lawn or landscape

Fast working and effective!

I used the small wand with a pouch and sprayed each dandelion plant individually. Before spraying, my yard looked like my neighbors. 24 hours later, they are dying nicely!

I give up after two sprayers

Never could try the product: two sprayers in a row dead on arrival. Very frustrating. Also, do YOU feel it’s easy to find troubleshooting steps on your website? Set a timer, and ask a coworker to browse the site for instructions on how to test the Dandelion Doom product if it isn’t working.

Quality control needs work

The herbicide is decent. Not great, but decent. My bigger complaint is that 3 of the bag/wand combos have leaked excessively - cost me time and money. The first time it happened, made huge mess in my garage. I learned my lesson, cleaned it all up, and put the equipment in a plastic bin. Next bag/wan...

Hi Adam, we are so sorry — three leaks is not a streak of bad luck, it's a pattern, and we own that completely. You did everything right: you cleaned up the first mess, took precautions with a bin, and gave us another chance after we replaced your wand. Having that battery short out after all of that is genuinely unacceptable, and we're embarrassed it came to this. We've flagging this as a quality issue with our R&D team. Your feedback on the Dandelion Doom 2-pack is exactly the kind of thing that needs to reach them. We have refunded you for your pouch and sprayer. You've been more patient with us than we deserved, and we don't take that lightly. Thank you for sticking with Sunday as long as you have.

Dandelion weed killer doesn't work

I followed the instructions and sprayed each dandelion in my front and back yard, nothing happened. Dandelions are just as healthy as they were before. some of my grass died around the dandelions though, so it may be a good grass killer.

Hi Ken, thank you for sharing this, we're really sorry to hear about your experience, and we want to get to the bottom of it. A couple of things can affect how our weed control performs on dandelions: -Temperature at application: Our formula works best when temps are between 50–90°F. Applications in heat over 90°F or during cooler stretches can reduce effectiveness. - Dandelion growth stage: Dandelions are hardiest when they're flowering. Spraying when they're young and actively growing (pre-flower) tends to get the best results. - Coverage: Dandelion leaves have a waxy coating, so thorough coverage on the tops *and* undersides of the leaves is key. We'd love to make this right. Please reach out to us at [email protected] and we'll work with you on next steps!

Works for me!

It works for me. I also pick off every flower before it even fully blooms to prevent more seeds. I use it in my front yard only, and you can really tell the difference. I spot treat, rather than spray the whole lawn.

Followed direction perfectly. Nothing. Dandelions never died, still growing. Will switch to a different brand for weed control

Does not work! Applied on a sunny day. Says you'll see wilting in a few hours. Nope! Waited 2 days still nothing. No rain fell for 2 days. Applied again after rain. Still nothing and there are more danelions. Seems like a complete waste of money! Going back to ortho weed be gone

We’re really sorry to hear this was your experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it. Dandelion Doom works best when sprayed directly on actively growing weeds with full leaf coverage, and some mature dandelions can take more than one application plus a little patience before showing results. Cooler temps, stressed weeds, or rain timing can also slow things down. We know stubborn dandelions can feel personally offensive this time of year, and we’d love the chance to help troubleshoot and get better results from your next application.

Kills the tops but not the root

From my experience I have used the Dandelion Doom for 2 years and it would work on the top of the weed but then it will not work on the root. The Plant would die and then grow back. I have gone to hand pulling the weeds and I am pulling up some dandelion with some very big and long tap roots. Too ba...

Thanks for sharing your experience, and honestly, those deep dandelion taproots can feel like nature’s version of a prank. Dandelion Doom is designed to target the weed down to the root over time, but larger, established dandelions with mature taproots can sometimes survive and regrow, especially if they’ve had a few seasons to settle in like unwanted houseguests. Hand pulling combined with spot treatment is actually a really solid strategy for stubborn weeds like these. We appreciate you giving it a real shot for two seasons, and we’re always here to help troubleshoot so your lawn can spend less time battling dandelions and more time looking gloriously green.

Mixed Results

Dandelion Doom does seem to kill dandelions but it's a long, slow process. I sprayed a week ago and saw the dandelions start to wilt within hours. However, a week later, they're not dead yet and during the slow kill process, the dandelions have produced a lot of blooms that are going to seed, before...
