  2. Use your outside hose to fill the pouch up to the 1-gallon mark. Secure the cap of the reusable pouch and shake well.

How does lawn-safe weed killer work?

Grass and weeds absorb iron differently. Weeds quickly take in too much iron, which becomes toxic and kills them. Grass absorbs iron more slowly and can tolerate higher amounts. This difference allows us to target weeds while giving your lawn a healthy, deeper green color.

How to use Dandelion Doom with other Sunday products?

You can apply weed killer, like Dandelion Doom, before or after lawn fertilizer. Allow weed control products to dry completely before applying any other Sunday liquid products or watering your lawn–the longer the plant absorbs the weed control, the more effective the application.

When will I see results?

Fully drenched weeds will dry up in as little as 20 minutes or up to 24 hours, depending on the size and maturity of the plant you are spraying.

What weeds does Dandelion Doom control?

Dandelion Doom is effective on broadleaf weeds like black medic*, broadleaf plantain, bull thistle, Canada thistle*, common chickweed*, creeping buttercup, creeping charlie/ground ivy*, dandelion, dovefoot geranium*, English daisy*, false dandelion, healall*, moss, liverworts*, algae* and lichens*, narrow-leaved plantain*, oxalis, Persian Speedwell, prostrate knotweed*, shepherd’s-purse*, silverweed cinquefoil*, slender speedwell*, white clover, wild chamomile*.

It can also control or suppress diseases such as but not limited to*: Dollar Spot, Rust or Snow Mold.

Fast working and effective!

I used the small wand with a pouch and sprayed each dandelion plant individually. Before spraying, my yard looked like my neighbors. 24 hours later, they are dying nicely!

Mixed results. Some great, some just ok.

worked like a CHARM last year. This year seems to be more of a challenge. Also when I used iron boost last year, it seemed to somehow prevent almost all the dandelions from blooming. The ones that did bloom last year were zapped right away with the dandelion killer. This year maybe I was late to spr...

Dandelion boom…

After emptying 4 gallons on hundreds of dandelions, I’m here to report that not even one died. This product is like dumping water on them.

Kills grass

I tried this on my lawn o. Clover and other leafy weeds, but it killed my burmuda grass as well and didn’t do a great job on the actual weeds.

Hello Allison, we're sorry to hear that, that’s definitely frustrating when your grass takes a hit and the weeds stick around. Dandelion Doom is designed to target broadleaf weeds without harming turf, but Bermuda grass can sometimes be more sensitive, especially in heat or if the lawn is already stressed. In the meantime, watering the lawn deeply but infrequently can help your grass recover and strengthen roots. We’re here to help you get things back on track and dial in the right approach for your lawn.

Didn't work

I really wanted this to work. I took a picture of the plants I was having problems with and this was the recommendation I got. I've applied both bottles, saturating all of the weeds. The bottle says you should see results in a few hours, but 24 hours later and everything is still doing fine, even th...

Hi Nick, I'm sorry to hear that our product didn't meet your expectations. We really appreciate you giving it a shot—and sharing the details here. Dandelion Doom should start showing visible changes within a day, especially on true dandelions, so if everything looks untouched after 24 hours, that’s not the experience we want you to have. A couple factors like weed type, maturity, and coverage can impact results—but even then, you should be seeing something. Glad to hear your grass is doing okay—that part matters too. If you’re up for it, send us that photo you mentioned and we can help ID what you’re dealing with and recommend the right next step (or make this right for you)

Great product

I have been using this product for several years on a very resistant bull thistle that kept popping up all over my yard. It kills it dead in a few hours. I like that it is not poison and won't harm the environment or my kids or pets. It is super effective for spot treating only the weeds you want to...

No Success

I used this product as the instructions stated but received negative results. It was 0% effective on my yard, so I’m very hesitant to try it again. I was hoping for success, but it looks like I’ll have to switch to another weed control product.

Them weeds be dead

Not sure why these other people are saying it didn’t work. It killed almost all of my weeds. Did use a lot more product than expected but it killed the weeds without harming the grass.

No Dead Weeds in Our Florida Lawn

This weed killer came with our lawn plan. I applied as directed, and not one weed was killed in our Florida lawn. About a month later, I bought an Ortho product, and that did the trick. Dandelion Doom is worthless.
