What makes Sun and Shade Seed and Feed different
- Thickens thin lawns in 8 to 21 days
- Seed, fertilizer, and conditioner in one bag
- Four grass types for sun and shade
- Spread it and water, that is it
- Works in full sun to medium shade
- Covers up to 1,500 sq ft per bag
Ingredients
9-0-2 NPK fertilizer blend feeds new and existing grass with a nitrogen-forward formula that supports steady green-up without burning.
Tall fescue seed is a deep-rooted grass that handles heat, drought, and heavy foot traffic.
Fine fescue seed thrives in shady spots where other grasses tend to thin out.
Kentucky bluegrass seed fills in bare areas on its own by spreading through underground runners.
Perennial ryegrass seed germinates fast and gives you visible green coverage while slower varieties establish.
Limestone helps raise soil pH in acidic soils so grass roots can actually absorb the nutrients around them.
Gypsum can loosen compacted clay soil and improve drainage without changing your soil pH.
Dried poultry litter adds slow-release organic nitrogen and beneficial microbes that build healthier soil over time.
How to use
Apply when air temperature stays between 60 and 75 degrees F, typically in spring or fall.
- Spread evenly at 10 lbs per 1,500 sq ft using a hand spreader or broadcast spreader.
- Water daily until new grass reaches about 2 inches tall.
- Switch to deep, infrequent watering once new grass is established.
- Reapply every 6 weeks during the growing season, up to 4 times per year.
- Apply morning or evening for the best results, when the sun is not at its peak.
