Cedar oil tick control, minus the harsh stuff

Nix Ticks is a cedar oil tick spray for yards that kills ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes on contact. The 17% cedarwood oil formula repels pests for up to 4 weeks along lawn edges, mulch beds, trees, shrubs, and shaded garden areas. Hook the hose-end sprayer to your hose and go. No mixing, no harsh chemicals. Add Mosquito Deleto for dedicated mosquito coverage.

What makes Nix Ticks Tick Spray for Yards different
  • Kills ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes on contact
  • Concentrated 17% cedarwood oil formula
  • Hose-end sprayer, no mixing or measuring
  • Repels pests for up to 4 weeks per spray
  • Pairs with Mosquito Deleto for full coverage
  • Cedar scent, not a chemical smell
Ingredients

Cedarwood oil (17%), a concentrated plant-based essential oil with insecticidal and repellent properties that targets ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes on contact.

How to use

Apply when ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes are active, typically spring through fall when temperatures are above 40 degrees F. In warmer climates, apply year-round.

  1. Shake the bottle well. Attach the hose-end sprayer to your garden hose, turn on the water, and flip the selector to "ON."
  2. Spray lawn edges, trees, shrubs, mulch beds, and garden areas in a steady, sweeping motion. Get foliage and surfaces just wet, not soaked.
  3. Apply twice within 7 days to get ahead of pests. After that, reapply every 4 weeks or after heavy rainfall to keep protection going.

How often should I apply Nix Ticks?

Nix Ticks works best with two applications within the first 7 days, then one application every 4 weeks after that.

Reapply after heavy rainfall to keep protection consistent. One 32 oz bottle covers up to 5,000 sq ft per application.

Is Nix Ticks safe for my dogs and cats?

Nix Ticks is approved for use around kids and pets when used as directed. The cedarwood oil formula is classified as a 25(b) minimum risk pesticide.

Let treated areas dry completely before allowing pets or family back on the yard.

Do I need a garden hose to apply Nix Ticks?

Nix Ticks comes with a built-in hose-end sprayer that connects directly to a standard garden hose. A hose connection is required for application.

No mixing or diluting needed. Turn on the water, flip the sprayer to "ON," and spray in a steady sweeping motion.

Does Nix Ticks work on fleas too?

Nix Ticks kills fleas on contact, just like it does ticks and mosquitoes. The 17% cedarwood oil formula targets all three pests in a single yard application.

Apply to lawn edges, mulch beds, and shaded areas where fleas tend to gather.

Can I spray Nix Ticks near my pollinator garden?

Nix Ticks should not be sprayed directly on beneficial insects like bees or butterflies. Do not apply when pollinators are active in the area.

Keep the spray away from flowering plants and treat surrounding yard areas instead.

How is Nix Ticks different from Mosquito Deleto?

Nix Ticks targets ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes using 17% cedarwood oil. Mosquito Deleto focuses specifically on mosquito control and repellent for yards.

Many customers use both together. Apply one product, wait 24 hours, then apply the other for full yard pest coverage.

Did not work

We followed the directions, sprayed twice, a week apart and had the ticks back on us within another week after it rained. It offered some protection immediately but didn't last past the first rain. Will not buy again.

It works!

This has been a great product and worked well against these nasty bugs (and most other bugs too) here in North Carolina during the summer heat. My only complaint would be that not enough of this stuff comes in each bottle. I had to order extra bottles to make sure the coverage was thorough enough to...

Sprayed this around the yard and never saw any ticks on us or our puppy. Was most concerned about my puppy, and did what we wanted.

We live in an area where ticks are a HUGE issue and we started using Nix Ticks this summer in our backyard and saw quite an improvement immediately. Now we can at least enjoy spending time outdoors!

Worked amazing, needs re-application every 2+ weeks.

Would highly recommend, worked like a charm. Take advantage of the 2 pack when it's on sale. After reading the label, you should actually apply every few weeks and heat conditions seem to have the product fade in intensity a bit. Began to target the key areas every other week to keep the bugs down.
