    Lawn vs 3 dogs

Last year I had replaced our entire lawn with new sod. Summer it looked great! But between having 3 dogs, a harsh winter, and bad soil the lawn looked rough at the beginning of the season. I’ve been very happy with how my lawn has progressively healed. Sunday makes it very easy to stay on top of my lawn care. I look forward to every new application because I love seeing the results.

Growing grass in Schaumburg, Illinois requires understanding the local climate and soil conditions. Cool-season grasses thrive best in this region, with Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, fine fescue, and tall fescue being ideal choices for lawn care in Schaumburg.

Seeding is the recommended method for establishing cool-season grasses in Schaumburg lawns. Timing matters significantly - aim for early to late May for spring seeding or late August through late September for fall seeding. Fall is actually preferred for most cool-season grasses because soil temperatures are optimal and weed competition is reduced.

When planning to grow grass in your Schaumburg yard, consider these steps:

      • Choose the right seed mix: Select a blend of recommended cool-season grasses using Sunday's Seed Finder Tool
      • Time it right: Plant during the recommended windows to give your seed the best chance
      • Prepare your soil: Ensure good seed-to-soil contact for successful germination

For patching bare spots or repairing your lawn, apply Sunday premium grass seed evenly and keep the area consistently moist until established. Check out Sunday's how to grow grass guide for step-by-step instructions.
