Helpful Tips from Lawn Advisors:
What’s the seed rate for Bermuda Time bermudagrass seed?
For maintenance seeding or overseeding: 1 lbs./1000 sq. ft.
For heavy repair, weedy lawns, and new lawns: 1 lbs./1000 sq. ft.
How long does bermudagrass seed take to grow?
Expect germination between 7-21 days with proper moisture and warm temperatures.
When to plant bermudagrass seed?
The optimal time to seed is late spring to mid-summer, when temperatures consistently range between 70 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Can I use this seed on hybrid bermudagrass varieties?
No. Bare Repair Bermudagrass is only for use on common bermudagrass lawns. Hybrid varieties like Tifway 419 and Celebration cannot be seeded – they must be repaired with the same hybrid variety using sod or plugs..
Should I apply Sunday fertilizer before or after using Bare Repair?
Either order works fine—it won't damage the seed. Having nutrients available can enhance growth, but the included fertilizer provides initial nutrition for the new grass.
