Weed control that kills weeds, not your grass

Picture your lawn two weeks from now. Greener. No dandelions poking through. No crabgrass creeping in from the edges. That's what Weed & Green is built to do.

One iron-based formula handles five jobs at once: knocking out broadleaf weeds already growing, suppressing crabgrass and weed germination before they start, clearing moss and algae, helping keep lawn disease in check, and boosting grass color in the process.

Targets what shouldn't be there. Leaves your grass greener.

How to use

  1. Attach the sprayer to your hose.
  2. Apply evenly to a dry lawn, temperatures between 50 and 85°F.
  3. Reapply in 3 to 6 weeks if hardy weeds persist.

Seeding after Weed & Green: Wait 1 day before seeding. Heads up: Iron can stain hardscapes. Rinse any pavement immediately if you get drift. Not sure what you're dealing with? Use our weed ID guide.

What weeds does Weed & Green kill or control?

Broadleaf weeds including dandelions, clover, chickweed, spurge, and oxalis. It also suppresses germination of crabgrass and other annual grassy weeds, and clears moss, algae, and lichen. For a full weed list, check the product label in documents.

Can I put down pre-emergent and fertilizer at the same time?

You can on the same day, not the same time. Apply fertilizer first, let it dry fully, then apply Weed & Green. And yes, Weed & Green can be used as a pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control in the same season, just follow the timing on the label.

How often do I need to apply Weed & Green?

Apply once thoroughly to the lawn, and then reapply 3 to 6 weeks later in the growing season. We recommend only applying up to two times as a preemergent or post-emergent in your lawn.

When do I apply Weed & Green?

Early spring is your best window for crabgrass prevention, typically when soil temps are approaching 55°F. For existing broadleaf weeds, apply any time during the growing season when weeds are actively growing and temperatures are between 50 and 85°F.

Can I put grass seed down after Weed & Green?

Yes. Wait 1 day after applying, then seed as normal.

How long after applying is it safe for kids and pets?

Once fully dry, it's safe for kids, pets, and bare feet. On a warm sunny day that's usually 1 to 2 hours. Give it a bit longer if it's cool or humid.

How soon will I see results?

Most broadleaf weeds show visible wilting within 24 to 72 hours. Full results within 1 to 2 weeks depending on weed size and conditions. The green-up from iron is often visible within a few days.

How much lawn does the Weed & Green cover?

Each bottle covers up to 2,500 sq. ft. per post-emergent application, and up to 1250 sq. ft. for a pre-emergent application.

Thicker and Fuller

No, I am not talking about my hair, I am talking about my lawn. I have struggled for many years to get a half way decent looking lawn that is vibrant and flush. Weed & Green has made me look like a professional. The nutrients in Weed & Green transform your yard into the envy of the neighborhood.

Greener, but more weeds have appeared

Following the directions, the product was used in my back yard & waiting 2. 5 days to write the review hoping for better results. The grass is greener; darker in some places (which is nice) but not overall. I was hoping for the weeds there were to die off by now. Instead, several have now popped and...

Needed more than expected but did see results

Took multiple applications and more bottles than expected. I did apply as the weeds were emerging. Ended up purchasing more bottles to complete the yard.

Maybe it worked?

Not sure if this worked or not. It took a few weeks for the weeds to turn brown and die, but that could have just been their lifespan. Easy to apply though.

We're sorry to hear that your weed control results aren't as expected! Here are some Best Practices to follow for best results. 1.) Try to apply on a sunny day. While not mandatory, sunshine will improve the efficacy and speed of our herbicides. With sunshine unfiltered by clouds, our herbicides will work even better. A rainfall within 3 hours after application can make the herbicides ineffective. Optimal temperatures for application are between 50F to 85F. 2.) Apply when the weeds look healthy. When weeds are stressed or injured, weeds release hormones to recover. These hormones make herbicides less effective. Hormones are also released if weeds are mowed; we recommend not applying on the same day you mow. 3.) Apply the leaves liberally. Our herbicides just need to make contact with the leaves to work; trying to apply to the roots won't be effective. For best results, you want the leaves soaked, but not to the point where the herbicides is dripping off the leaves. 4.) Know the age of the weed. Older and established weeds will likely require more applications. For older weeds, we recommend doing multiple applications on the same day; just let the leaves dry out in-between applications.

Works Well But. . .

I've used the Pre-emergent and Post-Emergent Weed Killer 3 times now and it works great. I've seen lasting results as well. However, the hose attachment has only worked correctly 1 of those times. The concentrate was only coming out of the center instead of the whole spray. The product works great, ...

Decent product

After one application it seems to effectively remove dandelions and clover. It does not seem to have much of an impact on crabgrass. Planning to apply a second time if the weather will ever cooperate with my schedule.
