Ingredients

The active ingredient is FeHEDTA, a chelated form of iron. It overwhelms broadleaf weeds while your grass absorbs it gradually and uses it as a nutrient. That is why weeds brown out and your lawn greens up.

How to use

Apply between 50 to 85 degrees F when no rain is expected for 3 or more hours.

Pour one full bottle of concentrate into the reusable pouch and attach the sprayer.
Fill pouch to the 1-gallon mark with your hose. Secure cap and shake well.
Spray onto weeds until all leaves are entirely covered.
Repeat in 3 to 4 weeks, or as needed. Store your sprayer and pouch for future use.

When should I apply Dandelion Doom to my lawn?

Dandelion Doom works best when applied between 50 to 85 degrees F on a dry day with no rain expected for 3 or more hours.

The longer it sits on the weed leaves, the better. Spring and fall are the most common times to spray, when broadleaf weeds are actively growing.

Will Dandelion Doom damage my grass?

Dandelion Doom is a selective broadleaf herbicide, so it targets weeds while leaving grass alone.

Grass absorbs iron slowly and tolerates higher amounts. Weeds take in too much iron too quickly, which causes them to dry out. Your lawn may actually look greener after application.

What weeds does Dandelion Doom control?

Dandelion Doom controls broadleaf weeds including dandelions, clover, chickweed, thistle, creeping charlie, plantain, oxalis, and English daisy, plus moss, algae, and lichens.

It also suppresses lawn diseases like dollar spot, rust, and snow mold.

How long does Dandelion Doom take to work?

Dandelion Doom shows visible results on some weeds within hours of application.

Fully drenched weeds respond within 24 hours depending on the size and maturity of the plant. Repeat treatment every 3 to 4 weeks as needed.

Dandelion Doom can be applied before or after lawn fertilizer. Let it dry completely before applying any other Sunday liquid products or watering.

Does not kill dandelions or creeping charlie

I had high hopes that this would work on dandelions and creeping charlie. It did not. Dandelions do wilt, but simply return. Creeping charlie was barely affected. Back to herbicides, unfortunately.

We're sorry to hear that your weed control results aren't as expected! Here are some Best Practices to follow for best results. 1.) Try to apply on a sunny day. While not mandatory, sunshine will improve the efficacy and speed of our herbicides. With sunshine unfiltered by clouds, our herbicides will work even better. A rainfall within 3 hours after application can make the herbicides ineffective. Optimal temperatures for application are between 50F to 85F. 2.) Apply when the weeds look healthy. When weeds are stressed or injured, weeds release hormones to recover. These hormones make herbicides less effective. Hormones are also released if weeds are mowed; we recommend not applying on the same day you mow. 3.) Apply the leaves liberally. Our herbicides just need to make contact with the leaves to work; trying to apply to the roots won't be effective. For best results, you want the leaves soaked, but not to the point where the herbicides is dripping off the leaves. 4.) Know the age of the weed. Older and established weeds will likely require more applications. For older weeds, we recommend doing multiple applications on the same day; just let the leaves dry out in-between applications.

Did nothing for my weed covered lawn :(

Unfortunately, Dandelion Doom Weed Killer did nothing for my lawn. I drenched the leaves and spread heavily throughout but the lawn is still riddled with weeds! Some areas now have more weeds than before. I have also seeded twice after applying and I'm still under a bed of weeds.

Lacks killing power.

Worst product ever!

Purchase this for the first time (and last) to kill some dandelions coming in the yard. Sprayed and could tell zero affect after a day. Even more dandelions started coming in and I feel like it was a fertilizer more than a weed killer. Maybe I received a bad batch
