Your lawn deserves an iron-based weed killer
Dandelion Doom is a selective iron-based weed killer that targets dandelions, clover, chickweed, ground ivy, and moss without harming your grass. It handles visible weeds as a post-emergent spot treatment. One ingredient, no mixing, no harsh chemicals. Grab a bottle and get to work. For more weed coverage, try the Dandelion Doom Starter Pack.
What makes Dandelion Doom Ready-to-Use Weed Killer Spray different
- Visible weed wilting starts within hours
- Iron-based formula with no harsh chemicals
- Ready to use with no mixing required
- Works on all cool and warm season grasses
- You can reseed just 1 day after applying
Ingredients
Chelated Iron (FeHEDTA) is absorbed rapidly, overloading broadleaf weeds causing them to dry out and die. Your grass absorbs the iron slowly, so it stays green and healthy.
How to use
Apply on a sunny day when temperatures are between 50 and 85 degrees F. Avoid spraying if rain is expected within 3 hours.
- Shake the bottle well and adjust the nozzle to your desired spray pattern.
- Spray directly onto weed leaves until they are fully covered.
- Let the product dry completely before foot or pet traffic on the treated area.
- Repeat in 3 to 4 weeks for stubborn or established weeds.
When should I use Dandelion Doom?
Dandelion Doom works best when weeds are actively growing and temperatures are between 50 and 85 degrees F.
Apply on a sunny day with no rain in the forecast for at least 3 hours. Spring and fall are the prime windows for broadleaf weed control.
How long does Dandelion Doom take to work?
Dandelion Doom starts wilting some broadleaf weeds within hours of application.
Full results, including root kill, typically appear within 1 to 2 weeks. Established weeds may need a second application 3 to 4 weeks later.
Will Dandelion Doom kill my grass?
Dandelion Doom is a selective weed killer, meaning it targets broadleaf weeds while leaving your grass unharmed.
It works on all cool and warm season grass types when used as directed. Grass absorbs iron more slowly than weeds, so your lawn stays green while weeds dry out.
Does Dandelion Doom stain concrete or sidewalks?
Dandelion Doom contains iron, which can stain hard surfaces like concrete, pavers, and sidewalks.
Avoid spraying on or near hard surfaces. If you accidentally spill, immediately dilute the area with water to reduce staining.
What weeds does Dandelion Doom kill?
Dandelion Doom controls broadleaf weeds including dandelions, clover, chickweed, creeping charlie, thistle, plantain, oxalis, knotweed, speedwell, and more.
It also controls moss, algae, and lichens, and suppresses lawn diseases like Dollar Spot, Rust, and Snow Mold.
What is the difference between the ready-to-use spray and the concentrate?
Dandelion Doom Ready-to-Use comes in pre-mixed spray bottles, ideal for spot treating individual weeds. No mixing, no assembly, just squeeze the trigger sprayer for fast weed control.
The concentrate covers more area and has an easier application style for larger lawns, but requires mixing with water and the Sunday Herbicide Pouch and Sprayer system to apply.

Works awesome, especially after the 2nd application as recommended in our seasonal plan
Does not work! Applied on a sunny day. Says you'll see wilting in a few hours. Nope! Waited 2 days still nothing. No rain fell for 2 days. Applied again after rain. Still nothing and there are more danelions. Seems like a complete waste of money! Going back to ortho weed be gone
From my experience I have used the Dandelion Doom for 2 years and it would work on the top of the weed but then it will not work on the root. The Plant would die and then grow back. I have gone to hand pulling the weeds and I am pulling up some dandelion with some very big and long tap roots. Too ba...
Dandelion Doom does seem to kill dandelions but it's a long, slow process. I sprayed a week ago and saw the dandelions start to wilt within hours. However, a week later, they're not dead yet and during the slow kill process, the dandelions have produced a lot of blooms that are going to seed, before...
I used this product on dozens of weeds we had and they were all dead by the next day. The downside was that after some rain, a few days later many other weeds had grown in their place. I need something to spray this on my entire lawn.
I used an entire bottle spraying each dandelion plant in our yard and none of them died!!!!
worked like a CHARM last year. This year seems to be more of a challenge. Also when I used iron boost last year, it seemed to somehow prevent almost all the dandelions from blooming. The ones that did bloom last year were zapped right away with the dandelion killer. This year maybe I was late to spr...
After emptying 4 gallons on hundreds of dandelions, I’m here to report that not even one died. This product is like dumping water on them.
Worked within a day on the dandelions. As a bonus, it also worked on the wild violet that was spreading into the yard. I tried to
I tried this on my lawn o. Clover and other leafy weeds, but it killed my burmuda grass as well and didn’t do a great job on the actual weeds.
