Lantana, TX lawns average 2388 sq ft with warm-season grasses like bermuda and zoysia thriving in the local climate. The soil is primarily sandy (60%) with basic pH (7.9) and moderate organic matter (2.36%).

Understanding your Lantana lawn's specific needs is key to proper lawn care. The sandy soil composition means:

    • Watering needs: More frequent watering as sandy soil drains quickly
    • Nutrient management: Lower nutrient retention requires targeted fertilizing
    • pH considerations: The high pH (7.9) may limit nutrient availability for grass

The soil test reveals adequate potassium and iron but potential needs for other nutrients. For effective lawn care in Lantana, Texas, focus on:

    1. Regular soil testing with a Sunday soil test kit to monitor nutrient levels
    2. Appropriate mowing heights for bermuda (1-2 inches) and zoysia (1-1.5 inches)
    3. Strategic weed control tailored to warm-season grasses

Living in San Antonio where we are under drought restrictions, managing a lawn is challenging. Texas Lawn

It is super convenient to have your lawn treatment mailed to your door and ready for application. I find the hints for when and how to apply very helpful as well as the hints for lawn care. With all the news about rising prices of fertilizer I was worried my rates would change just prior to the spring season, but Sunday held the prices for the membership steady. I would love to tell you how great my lawn looks today, but here in central Texas I am just happy my lawn is still alive with the water restrictions in place.

Easy application and real time support, couldn’t be happier with the system. Had issues this past year with fungus growing, fixed with a better watering plan. Now my issue is the brutal Texas heat.

      Lantana, Texas FAQs

Sunday custom lawn care plans start between $55-100, based on your lawn size and needs. Each plan includes custom lawn fertilizer, soil testing, and personalized recommendations for your Lantana property.

Traditional lawn services can cost up to $1500 yearly, while Sunday helps you save hundreds. Your plan comes with unlimited access to Yard Advisors who understand Texas lawn challenges.

Lantana lawns face intense summer heat that can stress grass and cause browning. Texas drought conditions make proper watering crucial for lawn survival.

Lawn pests like grubs are common in warm Lantana soil and can damage grass roots. Finding the right balance between too much and too little water is tricky in the Texas climate.

Weeds grow quickly in the long growing season, making regular monitoring important.

For Lantana lawns, mowing frequency depends on your grass type and growth rate. Warm-season grasses common in Texas typically need weekly mowing during peak growing season.

Mow when grass is about one-third higher than your target height. Raise your mowing height during hot summer months to protect your lawn from heat stress.

Keep mower blades sharp for clean cuts that help your lawn stay healthy.

Fall is the perfect time to repair summer damage to your Lantana lawn. Apply Sunday fertilizer to strengthen roots before winter sets in.

Target weeds while they're actively growing but vulnerable in fall. For cool-season grass areas, fall is ideal for seeding because of cooler air and warm soil.

Continue monitoring water needs as Texas falls can still be warm and dry.

Start your Lantana lawn care schedule with a soil test to understand your lawn's specific needs. Sunday's Custom Lawn Plan provides application timing based on your location's climate.

Include spring prep tasks like clearing debris and applying pre-emergent weed control. Plan for summer heat management with proper watering and mowing higher.

Schedule fall recovery with fertilization and seeding when temperatures cool down.

Lantana homeowners should focus on proper watering techniques. Water deeply and less often to promote strong root growth that can withstand Texas heat.

Monitor for common pests like grubs that thrive in warm soil. Use Sunday's soil test to guide your fertilizer choices throughout the year.

Maintain the right mowing height for your grass type, cutting higher during summer heat and slightly lower in spring and fall.
